The pub-hotel makes a brilliant base for walkers, climbers and visiting sightseers being within easy reach of Edale - the start of the Pennine Way, Mam Tor, The Great Ridge, Lose Hill, Win Hill, Stanage, Higger Tor and more. The famous Christmas Lights are within very easy walking distance of the Peak Hotel too.
"Popped in for a quick lunch before a walk round Castleton, with family and two spaniels. Really impressed with this traditional pub that has great quirky touches (skeleton sitting at the piano, paintings on the ceiling). Greeted by the friendly and professional barman. Nice selection of ales, gins and a good food menu. Food service was really quick, was tasty, served piping hot and really exceeded our expectations in terms of quality. Dog friendly, cosy, lots of seating, interesting decor in every corner, parking reimbursed, don't think twice, this is the place!"
